Clyde & Co Cares About Hunger

Help to reduce food waste and alleviate food insecurity in Hong Kong

Help us feed people, not landfills.

In view of Clyde & Co’s Global Pro Bono & Social Impact Initiative to support the UN’s goal of “Zero Hunger by 2030”, the Charities Committee is working with Feeding Hong Kong to raise donations and gather surplus food during 20 to 31 March 2023 to help fight hunger in local communities.

For every HK$100 donated, Feeding Hong Kong will be able to rescue and redistribute enough food for 10 meals for those in need. Our aim is to raise at least HK$5,000 (taking into account London office’s matching fund) and your generous support will be much appreciated!

Please donate using this form to contribute to this meaningful cause. We will also be organising Bread Runs and a Charity Bake Sale during the week – please stay tuned!

Campaign Story

The problem

1.6 million people in Hong Kong live in poverty struggling to afford three meals a day. This includes 45% of seniors and 1 in 4 children. The combination of school closures, job disruptions, health risks and rising food prices since the beginning of the pandemic have hit underserved communities the hardest – research showed that 67% of families living below the poverty line experienced loss of livelihood during the pandemic.

Our solution

Every day, we collect surplus nutritious food from manufacturers, growers, processors, distributors and retailers and deliver it to our network of over 150 partner charities, who in turn, provide food to those most in need across all 18 districts in Hong Kong.

All funds donated via this page will help us keep food assistance flowing to those that need support the most.
