Drive one of our vans and help get food from companies with surplus to charities supporting vulnerable people. Drivers need to be over 25 years old and hold a full, clean Hong Kong driving licence.

What will I be doing:
  •  Drop off weekly orders of food at local charities and collect surplus from local food businesses with the help of a Driver’s Assistant
  • Work with other volunteers to load and unload the van at the FHK Foodbank
Working day:
  • Mon – Fri
  • Half day shift (am/pm) or full day shift
  • Aged at least 25 years old
  • Hold a valid class 2 driver’s license (light goods vehicle) and possess at least 3 years of driving experience
  • A clean driver’s record and driving test is required
  • Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading
  • Positive, friendly and personable – able to interact well with our food donors and charity partners
  • Adaptable – the amount of surplus is unpredictable so driving routes and daily tasks can vary
  •  Active and sociable role, building relationships directly with the charities we support
  • Gain a variety of skills such as route planning, organisation and communication skills
  • You will directly ensure that good quality food is not wasted and reaches the people who need it
