J Life Foundation Limited – Treasure Food Programme

J Life Foundation helps low income and single parent families primarily in the Sham Shiu Po area. With the help of food banks, hotels and bakeries, the charity collects surplus food and redistributes it to families in need. The charity also aims to help these disadvantages families to help themselves. They create a safe space where families can come together to share their burdens and build new relationships to create a connectedness within the community. One of the ways is to provide free tuition services for primary school children (age 6-12) of these families so that they can cope with their school work and have a better future. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2015.
